Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Offers Policies and Procedures System to UK Financial Firms

LONDON – 21 Dec. 2010 – Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has expanded its Policies and Procedures system to meet the needs of wholesale banks in the UK. This offering will help alleviate challenges many firms are facing as the result of recent regulatory changes.

More than 4,000 pages of change were made to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) Handbook during 2010. Policies and Procedures helps compliance officers monitor and interpret regulatory changes as they happen so they can determine potential impact on their business and maintain their compliance manuals accordingly. Using a step-by-step process, it allows compliance officers to assemble, revise and distribute a policies and procedures manual to employees online. Extremely customisable, the system can also provide a gap analysis against firm’s existing policies and procedures manuals.

“With the changing role of the Financial Services Authority, there is a strong focus on the future of the financial services sector and how the regulatory structure might change,” said Mark Coronna, managing director, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services-Europe. “Not only can we help firms monitor regulatory changes, but we can also help them ensure their compliance manuals continue to meet requirements.”

Policies and Procedures is part of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ regulatory intelligence solution set, linking directly to the company’s Compliance Resource Network, a research platform that consolidates financial services laws, regulations and commentary. Policies and Procedures also complements Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ eLearning compliance courses
